Biologist. Holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology (branch of Molecular Biology and Genetics, with a minor in Informatics) from the Faculty of Sciences of the University of Lisbon and a Master of Science degree in Biotechnology from the NOVA School of Science and Technology of NOVA University Lisbon. His scientific interests concern the usage of molecular and computational tools in the modelling of complex biological systems and the study of their relation with human health and heredity. Has research experience in the field of epigenetics and gene regulation, and metabolomics, and has collaborated with the private sector in the improvement of vaccine production through biochemical modelling and deep learning techniques.
